The bitter reproof of an enemy is better than the honeyed words of a friend

Twenty-five years ago, at an industrial exhibition, the fledgling waterjet company WinWin saw the booth of a world-leading waterjet equipment manufacturer. The core startup team was in awe of the cutting-edge technology on display.

Then, a casual remark in a foreign language struck a nerve:
"Made in China? Cheap, but it can’t achieve this level of precision."

Instead of anger or rebuttal, the team felt a surge of determination.“We’re not aiming to be a cheap alternative—we aim to surpass. We’ll achieve what others can’t with technology, and accomplish tasks beyond human capability with our equipment.”

This directive from the founder became WinWin’s unwavering creed for the next 25 years.

“The path to glory is strewn with thorns.”

Bold visions are easily spoken, but the path to mastery is arduous. On one hand, technical challenges persistently blocked the company’s progress. Breakthroughs come from the accumulation of effort—not overnight. On the other, the budding domestic waterjet market offered little time or space for growth.

At its most difficult hour, the team faced rivalry from competitors, skepticism from clients, and internal disagreements.

Should they stubbornly pursue technical excellence? Or, like others, engage in price wars for a secure spot in the low-end market.

The founder and chief engineer independently chose the former.
No turning back, no lingering in the low-end market.

Yet, despite relentless efforts and near-obsessive dedication, while glimpses of an ideal blade emerged, the company’s products still lacked recognition.

It was then that we truly understood what customers needed.

"Confidence is the bond of friendship."

While advancing technologically, the team realized the importance of customers. We began to see things from their perspective, striving to resolve every issue—whether a full cutting solution or a simple part replacement. Regardless of time zones, our sales team stayed online, our technical team always on standby, aiming to provide timely, professional solutions.

Once, a U.S.-based team experienced part failure. Our sales and technical staff rushed to the office in the early hours for a video call. It turned out the issue wasn’t with our part—it was due to a pre-existing fault in the client’s equipment. Even though it wasn’t our responsibility and we didn’t profit, we were glad to help in their moment of need.

This attitude earned the client’s trust, and we’ve worked together ever since.

Our relationship with clients reflects our name—Win-Win.
Clients reduce downtime, boost productivity, and gain profit. We earn recognition and trust, building lasting, stable partnerships. Their victory is our victory.

“The past is the soil that grows the jewel of today.”

Today, WinWin’s partners span the globe. Together, we take on “impossible” challenges—using technology to refine precision, using precision to shatter doubts. We know our clients don’t just buy cold machinery or specs—they buy solutions and the potential to break limits.

Waterjet cutting is an art that balances strength and flexibility, power and beauty. Our partnerships go beyond transactions—they carry warmth and resonance.

Looking back, we have no regrets. Equipment bearing our logo operates smoothly worldwide—cutting hard granite, sculpting special composites.

With water as our blade, we write “Precision, Made in China” across the globe, leaving the warmth of dedication in our wake.
