Win-Win Waterjet Launches Fanuc M-20iA Overhead Triple-Robot Waterjet Workstation to Boost Efficiency in Automotive Interior Cutting
Recently, Shenyang Win-Win Waterjet Technology Co., Ltd. (Win-Win Waterjet) unveiled a high-end equipment solution tailored for the automotive interior industry: the Fanuc M-20iA Overhead Triple-Robot Rotary Waterjet Workstation.
This workstation features three overhead-mounted Fanuc M-20iA industrial robots working in conjunction with a high-speed rotary table. This configuration enables the simultaneous, high-volume waterjet cutting of various automotive interior components—such as dashboards, floor carpets, and headliners. With a rotary table indexing time of just approximately five seconds, the system drastically reduces waiting times for workpiece loading and unloading, thereby significantly boosting production efficiency.
In terms of cutting capabilities, the equipment offers a maximum cutting envelope of 2500 mm × 1600 mm, accommodating the dimensions of most mainstream automotive interior components. It is paired with an SL-VI 100HP high-flow intensifier pump, which ensures stable, high-pressure cutting over extended periods. The resulting cuts are smooth and free of heat-affected zones (HAZ), eliminating the need for secondary sanding or finishing.
Compared to traditional stamping or mechanical machining methods, robotic waterjet cutting offers distinct advantages, including high flexibility, the elimination of mold changes, and superior material utilization—making it particularly well-suited for high-mix, low-volume production environments. Furthermore, the overhead design conserves floor space and facilitates seamless integration into automated production lines.
Win-Win Waterjet stated that this workstation has already been deployed in several domestic automotive component manufacturing facilities and can be customized to meet specific client requirements. Moving forward, the company remains committed to advancing the application of waterjet cutting technology within the realm of intelligent manufacturing.
